There’s a reason why your Spinbrush toothbrush doesn’t rotate all the way around in a continuous circle. Circling in the same direction would cause Spinbrush bristles to bend to one side and become less effective. Instead, the brush head oscillates back and forth, like a windshield wiper. The back-and-forth spinning motion helps extend the life of the bristles and provides better cleaning.
Your Spinbrush toothbrush works with a series of gears and linkages that turn when a powered motor is switched on. This makes the round upper brush head quickly spin back and forth (oscillate) and moves the lower brush head up and down. The result is a dual-action brush head for the most effective clean.
Dentists recommend brushing your teeth for 2 minutes and so do we! Brushing with your Spinbrush toothbrush is simple thanks to the new hydro-blocking SoftSwitch power switch that’s easy to turn ON. Simply press the top button (|). Let your Spinbrush toothbrush do the work and gently glide the brush head along teeth and gumline—no need to press hard. When you’re done, press the bottom button (•) to turn OFF.
To avoid damage, do not submerge the brush in water. Instead, remove the brush head and rinse thoroughly with water after every use. Shake off any excess water from the brush head and handle before reattaching the head.
How long the batteries last in your Spinbrush toothbrush depends on its use. If you brush for 2 minutes twice a day, expect the batteries to last about 4 to 6 weeks. If water leaks into the battery area, the batteries may stop working sooner and may require replacement.
Follow these steps to remove the battery cap and change batteries:
All Kid’s Spinbrush toothbrushes come with smaller brush heads and handles designed for little mouths and hands. Each toothbrush combines stationary bristles with high-speed oscillating bristles that massage gums and remove plaque to help reduce tooth decay. They are designed to promote healthy brushing and feature friends and characters that kids love like PAW Patrol™, Marvel Avengers™, and Mermaids & Unicorns.
We recommend Spinbrush toothbrushes for children 3 years and up.
The newly designed Kid’s Spinbrush toothbrush features our new hydro-blocking SoftSwitch with buttons that help prevent water from leaking inside the brush. To turn ON, simply push the top button (|). After brushing, press the bottom button (•) to turn OFF.
Follow these steps to remove the battery cover and replace the battery:
The following adult Spinbrush toothbrushes come with a replaceable brush head: PRO CLEAN, PRO WHITEN, and PRO+ items. Replacement brush heads are available for purchase in 2-packs. While the CHARCOAL CLEAN toothbrush also comes with a removeable brush head, charcoal refills are not currently available. The CHARCOAL CLEAN handle can be used with any other Spinbrush brand refill pack. If you keep your Spinbrush handle to use with replacement brush heads (we encourage you to reuse your handle!), then it might be time to also replace the batteries (2 new AA alkaline batteries) if you notice decreased power.
Color-Wear™ bristles are designed to fade with use to remind you to change the brush head every 3 months. Spinbrush PRO CLEAN and PRO WHITEN toothbrushes and replacement brush heads have Color-Wear bristles. We recommend you change the brush head every 3 months or sooner if the brush head is worn or parts are loose. Not doing so can lead to brush-head breakage, generation of small parts, and possible injury.
To replace the brush head, twist counterclockwise 90° and pull away from the handle. Slide on new Spinbrush replacement head and turn clockwise 90° until arrows are aligned.
